Social Psychology Questions

Epley‘s class was about mob psycology. Social Psychology tries to find out laws that govern our behavior in social context. But in the present day, when TV has a so much influence on our thinking, it is possible that laws that were once true may have changed. For example, all the reality shows on TV that we see now may make us feel bad about the whole thing and may lead to loosing interest in others lives. The laws that psychologists found out may no longer be valid now and may lead to wrong conclusions in present day experiments.

Certain tendencies of humans were frequently present in Dr Epley‘s lectures. Commitment, authority, curiosity, evaluation apprehension, etc. Are there a set of inbuilt laws which can explain human behavior? (just like in physics, but more generalized)

There are study pool committees to ensure that ensure ethical standards during psychological experiments. The theories found out are applied to the real world. While there are some censors placed on TV and Movies, censors donot exist for the web and software. Do we need censors or don’t we?
