Mike Golby is back after a 2-month hiatus with an amazing essay, The Turning of the Key. Don’t miss it, it’s a feast of words, images, and ideas.

You know what my favourite passage was in his post? This:
…when I get tired of vanilla sex, they can take me out and shoot me… You go, Mike!

And I guess it really rang a bell with me because UVic recently hosted a symposium on bondage.
People, people: we aren’t talking about plain old sex anymore, we’re in the realm of fetishism now, and that’s an area rife for the picking by consumer culture and marketing and “workshops” (oh, gag me with a spoon — or should I say butt plug…).

I think that was my favorite passage too.
Starting from Eliot’s words to pure classic Golby.
