Subversive Graphic

Oh, the power of images…

I just saw this on a local forum:

Olympics graphic, subverted

Olympics graphic, subverted

.

Harsh, but funny.

This graphic is effective, reminds me (in a way) of the missing cat poster, which also conveyed its message very economically.

UPDATE: Via Rob Randall, a pointer to PETA‘s adaptation:

This one is brutal…

  2. ^ omg! Brutal …(but again, effective: short, sharp, to the point).

  3. PS: I just put that image into the body of my post. Have to say, PETA’s approach always seems extreme, and this poster is no exception. One sided, no humor whatsoever, and cuts to the chase, pronto.

Er, I probably shouldn’t say “cuts to the chase,” given the organization involved…

I remember seeing a couple of good ones by the wiseguys at Skyscraper Page but I can’t recall them.
