Democrats raise money for firebombed GOP headquarters through GoFundMe – Metro, 17 October 2016

David Weinberger, a senior researcher at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and a Brookline resident, launched a GoFundMe page Sunday as a way for Democrats to raise cash to help the North Carolina GOP reopen its office.

Clinton, Trump condemn Republican Party office firebombing | CTV News, 16 October 2016

Democrats joined a campaign to raise $10,000 to reopen the GOP office, meeting the goal in less than 40 minutes and “showing that Americans are thirsty for civility and decency, and that we love our democracy above all differences,” wrote the GoFundMe drive’s creator, David Weinberger, a researcher at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University.
