Comedian Blogger
Patton Oswalt has a blog. A real live frequently-updated personal blog. He’s the guy on the Comedians of Comedy tour with Brian Posehn and Zach Galifianakis (and also a regular on King of Queens). I learned of the blog when watching the film about them at Silverdocs, where in one scene Brian and Patton are poking around a comic book store in Portland, Ore., and Zach (who was not supposed to be in town yet) suddenly walks by. They ask him how he found them, and Zach says “I read Patton’s blog.”
Later today I will have my final Silverdocs wrap-up post, assuming the Internet Gods don’t fuck me over again and eat my post.

why don’t you write your posts in a text file first, and then post it all at once?
or if you’re too busy/for that you can try one of my tricks: every once in a while i hit Ctrl-A / Ctrl-C, and especially before I submit something. This will copy everything into your clipboard, for backup.
(I call it the Ctrl-S of the internet)
the tragedy is that i do often do the ctrl-a ctrl-c thing, and THOUGHT i had done it recently enough on that post, but when the entry disappeared and i tried to paste it back in, the only thing that appeared was one sentence–something i had recently copied from elsewhere and was going to paste into my post, before it disappeared. i wasn’t anywhere near finished with the post though, there was much more i was going to add. i always copy it right before sending, but this one disappeared at a different point, not at the point of sending, so i was not as prepared. apparently if your cursor is in the address bar and you hit backspace, it moves to a previous page. i was not aware of this. that’s how i lost it. and this has got me considering writing as a text file first, especially for longer posts. generally most of my posts are so brief it won’t be necessary, though.
I read your blog and it is just brilliant. This post blew my mind though because I just saw Zach Galifanakis last night (Tuesday 6-21-2005) at the Mbar (http://www.funbunchcomedy.com/) and yet you wrote that you saw him all week on the East Coast. I know the wonders of modern flight but it is bizarre that you would see him Monday and Wednesday and I would see him on Tuesday. I mean it was a 100 seat comedy show and it seems funny he would fly back here for a 10 minute set. I know someone who saw you yesterday. Very trippy. Yeah for me!
i only saw him on saturday, i don’t know why you thought i saw him all week.
