IFFBoston: Awards

Once again, the audience at IFFBoston had different priorities than I, as I have seen only one of the festival winners (YEAR OF THE FISH):

Grand Jury Prize:

(Narrative Feature) DAY NIGHT DAY NIGHT
(Documentary Feature) THE KING OF KONG
(Short Film) POP FOUL

Special Jury Prize:

(Narrative Feature) MONKEY WARFARE
(Documentary Feature) KAMP KATRINA
(Short Film) SONGBIRD

Audience Awards:

(Narrative Feature) YEAR OF THE FISH
(Documentary Feature) DARIUS GOES WEST
(Short Film) FREEHELD

Dewars Collective Choice Award:

YEAR OF THE FISH

Apple Programmers Choice Award:

GRETCHEN

Phew, at least On Broadway didn’t win the Audience Award (I would’ve bet the farm on it). Day Night Day Night was a worthy selection though…

Where did you find these? I didn’t see them posted on the site.

I hope you get to see DAY NIGHT DAY NIGHT, which was really wonderful. And no, the description doesn’t ruin the film (I had the same concern). I also liked GRETCHEN and THE KING OF KONG.
