I think its amazing that the rollout for THIS is so much faster than something usefull… say – HDTV…. which has another YEAR left on its mandatory rollout.
Unless of course; certain equipment manufactures adobt this in tandem with thier HD rollout — which WILL increase the overall desire to purchase new A/V equipment.
Grumble.
After reading today’s “Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking” I have come to the conclusion that the FCC lacks the power to legislate the laws of Maxwell.
Not even Congress may revise the theorems of Shannon.
Let Hollywood raise high the banner of the broadcast flag as they march off to new war now against the couch-potato eyeballs slumbering in the TV-soma coma; it matters not a whit.
