Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! This is my absolute favorite holiday! For the past many years, hubby and I have stayed home for Thanksgiving and here is how I anticipate my day going:

Wake up around 9 and pop the pie in the oven. Go downstairs and watch a movie on the big screen TV. Go upstairs and make stuffing. Remove pie from oven. Stuff Tom turkey and place in oven. Light fire in fireplace and lounge on sofa watching movies and/or football. Prepare side dishes to go with said turkey. Lounge on couch and watch more movies/football while waiting for dinner to be ready. Eat said turkey. Lounge on couch watching more movies/football. Go to bed.

Can it possibly get any better than that?

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Thanksgiving is my all-time favorite holiday, too. The smell of turkey cooking is my all-time favorite smell believe it or not. Although I wouldn’t want to wear it as perfume!

Unfortunately due to present circumsances, this will be the first Thanksgiving for me EVER that I’m not with my family. 🙁 We’ll be with friends, and I’m sure it will be good and fun, but not the same.

Mary, this sounds absolutely, positively divine. The only barrier between this and perfection, would be a quiet unobstrusive person who would come in at the end of the meal, wash all dishes and neaten up the kitchen for you…
