How does this happen?

We found out last night that an old friend of ours dropped dead on Wednesday. On the golf course. He was only 58 years old. Heart attack they say. Blood clot.

I know that life is precious and that we should live everyday to the fullest because you never know when its going to be your last. It doesn’t make it any easier.

George was one of the nicest, most laid back people I’ve known in my lifetime. I would have never guessed that he was 58. Early 50’s? Maybe. George had (has?) a younger brother Jimmy. I think Jimmy’s mid-40s though now I’m thinking I might be off on that too. I’ve never known two brothers that were as close as these two (they did have their own families, too). If you saw one, you could bet the other was not far behind. I worry about him now.

Rest in peace, George. Jimmy, Evelyn and Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you all.
