    • Download AdGuard for iOS from the App Store. From the main menu of the application, go to the Tracking protection section. If you do not have Premium, you will need to buy it.
    • Turn on the Tracking protection switch, and then go to the DNS encryption section.
    • In this section, select AdGuard DNS or AdGuard DNS Family.
    • In other cases:
      • From the home screen, tap Settings.
        • Choose Wi-Fi in the left menu (it is impossible to configure DNS for mobile networks).
        • Tap on the name of the currently active network.

    • Open the preferences for your router. Usually you can access it from your browser via a URL (like http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.1.1/). You may be asked to enter the password.
    • If you don’t remember it, you can often reset the password by pressing a button on the router itself. Some routers have a specific application which should be already installed on your computer in that case.

    • When you use AdGuard DNS, every time a browser or an app sends a “bad” request, our server does not reply with an IP address, but sends back a null response instead. AdGuard has a database of domain names that serve for ad, tracking and fraud purposes, and this database is regularly updated.

AdGuard DNS is a foolproof way to block tracking and ads on the Internet that does not require installing any applications. It is easy to use, privacy-friendly, absolutely free, can be effortlessly set up on any device, and provides you with minimal necessary functions to block ads, trackers, malicious websites, and adult content (optionally).

To start using AdGuard DNS, set up the addresses of Domain Name System (DNS) instead of those given by your service provider. AdGuard DNS is free of charge for personal use.

How does it work?

When you use AdGuard DNS, every time a browser or an app sends an ad request, our server responds with an empty response. AdGuard has its own base of domain names that serve ads, trackers and fraud, and it is regularly updated. We offer two modes for AdGuard DNS to work in. The Default Mode includes blocking ads, counters, malicious and phishing websites. The Family Mode does the same, in addition blocking adult content and enabling safe search for your browser.
