It’s already snowing across eastern Pennsylvania and much of New Jersey and upstate New York:
Still raining steadily here in New York, but hey: snow might come. Either way, Winter’s here.

wait! I’ve lost track of you. Aren’t you in a)Boston ‘b)Santa Barbara ? Or is it now c) none of these?

Santa Barbara is still home, and New York is a base of operations. It’s a 3.5 hour drive to Boston (Berkman) or Baltimore (family), and there are four airports from which we can arrive and depart from elsewhere. I’m in London every month, and in the Bay Area almost as often, as well as in Santa Barbara. Since summer of last year we’ve also been in Australia/New Zealand three times. A fourth is coming up early next year as well.
