DPLA at Code4Lib 2013

The DPLA was in Chicago earlier this week for Code4Lib 2013, a large annual conference of library technologists. On Monday, February 11, the DPLA convened a small hackathon in which participants hacked against the API to build visualization tools and geocoded map apps, among other tools. You can take a look at some of the apps that hackers worked on here.

On Tuesday, February 12, Audience and Participation Co-Chair Nate Hill and Technical Aspects Co-Chair SJ Klein presented on “Hacking the DPLA” to over 300 attendees during the main conference sessions. Slides from Hill and Klein’s talk are available here; a brief snippet from their talk is available here, via Margaret Heller.
