Dr. Stone is licensed as a psychologist in Georgia and New York State. Dr. Stone is in private practice near Atlanta with a focus on individual, couples and family therapy. He is an in-network Tricare provider with a combined 14 years of active and reserve service as an Army officer.

Dr. Stone has provided services to over 50 veterans and their families in the past few years. He frequently evaluates veterans for PTSD and he has been been very successful in helping qualified veterans get their benefits. Dr. Stone is also President of WorldWired, Inc. a company he founded 15 years ago. WorldWired has provided services to great universities, government agencies and global corporations over the years. Today WorldWired provides advanced software solutions focused on medical and education markets.

Specifically, WorldWired provides Augmented Reality Therapy environments used to support the delivery of therapy for conditions such as PTSD in the form of immersive videos and tailored virtual reality environments used in therapy such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-czeiA-NuQk&feature=youtu.be

Dr. Stone received his Ph.D. at Cornell University. Following his graduation from Cornell he was awarded grants from the Psychological Sciences Division of the Office of Naval Research and the Research Foundation of the State of New York.

He was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences from2004 to 2006. He has also been a Research Fellow at MIT from 2005 to 2008.

Dr. Stone is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization and the Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Association.

    I am currently a Visiting Scholar in Psychology and Visual Studies in order to pursue my interest in the application of virtual reality images and narratives to the enhancement of Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I am also studying the application of new technologies to “mixed reality” films for entertainment.

    I spent two years at Harvard as a Visiting Fellow in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The first year was in Computer Science and the second was in theology. I also completed ten courses at Harvard Medical School including Mind/Body Medicine and Achieving Peak Performance in the Arts and Academia.
