In-home childcare is being provided by Parents in a Pinch. There is no location on-site available for children. You must contact Parents in a Pinch to arrange a caregiver to come to your home.
Rates will vary depending upon your needs. PiaP provides in-home care for an hourly fee with a four-hour minimum charge. The caregiver rate would be $15/hr for up to 2 children; $17/hr for newborns.
There is a discounted $35 referral fee when you mention the Gender and Technology workshop, unless families are Harvard employees and have already registered with PiaP.
update: Due to a generous donation made by Julia Ashmun, the referral fee has been waived!
To arrange childcare:
- Call Parents in a Pinch at 617-739-5437 x2
- Provide your Name, Email, Phone, Address, Number of Children, Ages of Children, (Infant, Special Needs, Dietary Restrictions) as well as a Credit Card and Pet information.
- Parents in a Pinch will identify a caregiver for you; the caregiver will also contact you to finalize the arrangements.
- When the caregiver arrives, sign an authorization and release form.
- You will either pay the caregiver at the end of the day or your credit card will be billed once care is received.
Please note that childcare arrangements with Parents in a Pinch must be made by Friday, October 16th.
