Possible blocking of WordPress blogs in Iran
In a recent blog post from webblognews.ir, and Iranian blog, there has been a report of filtration in Iran blocking all of WordPress yesterday, Sunday the 13th. The blog expected the blockage to be a mistake and was expecting a statement as to the error or a resolution of the blocking, but, alas, no new news has come from Iranian blogs nor from the Iranian government.
After looking through the response data from Herdict, we didn’t receive any reports of wordpress.com being inaccessible, even though the Iranian blog reports a full WordPress blockage. If you are in Iran, or if you have any new information about this possible Internet censorship, we’d love to have more confirmation as to whether this report is correct or not.
There are a bunch of ways to communicate with us and you can pick whatever is the easiest. You can tweet to us @herdict, respond to our blog here, or you can also start a new discussion on our discussion boards.
As always, the easiest way to contribute is to use our Herdict Reporter and report if the site is accessible or not!
