City and cyberspace thinking

I am taking this class called City and Cyberspace. I am trying to understand what is the similarity between city and cyberspace. Truly they might be some similarity but I don’t think they are the some structure or idea. Human lives in the city, but on the cyberspace information flows. I have few friends in the city but I have hundreds of friends on cyberspace. Interesting class I don’t know where it will take me.

Here’s one idea for how they might fit together, Henok. In both cities and in cyberspace, a lot of people interact with one another. They’re strangers, but they share the same space. If they choose to behave badly, they can hurt one another (think of spam or fraud emails in cyberspace, crime in physical cities). If they behave well, you can have interactions that aren’t possible anywhere else – in cities and online, you can meet people from all over the world. How do we enhance the capacity of cities and cyberspace to bring us together and minimize the risk that we use these spaces to harm each other?
