There’s only one thing I keep coming back to Korea for—the street food! You can never go wrong with the ones found in Myeong-dong 명동.

Myeong-dong, August 2017
Myeong-dong 명동 is one of Seoul’s major shopping and tourism districts. At night, the place comes to life with plenty of street food vendors lined along the streets. With an estimate of over 80 street carts, you will be surprised to find a wide variety of options available—from steaks, lobsters, and scallops to pancakes and egg toast. As soon as we landed, I checked into the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel, left my bags, and went straight outside for a food trip.
If you find yourselves in the area, make sure to try these out. It can get quite exhausting to walk around Myeong-dong with all the shopping that you’ll be doing, so look for these street carts and take many shopping breaks!
But of course, a trip to South Korea isn’t complete without Bingsu, so don’t forget to try this out as well. We had these at Sulbing Korean Dessert Cafe, one of the popular Bingsu places in Korea.
My 5-day trip to South Korea obviously made me gain weight, but it was worth it and I regret nothing.
