About: Lauren D. Klein

Lauren is a research assistant at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society and currently pursuing  a Master of International Affairs at Columbia University. She is interested in issues of transparency and the digital divide. She began her career as journalist with The Stamford Advocate which led her to stint as a freelance journalist based in New Delhi, India. Lauren’s work has appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, the AP’s asap, and in Mint, a business publication of The Wall Street Journal. She has worked with CNNMoney.com, where she edited and produced web videos about financial and technology topics. Lauren earned her B.A. in Critical Social Thought from Mount Holyoke College.
