About this blog

Interest rate, inflation, unemployment, blah blah blah… When people talk about economics, these are the ideas that usually come to people’s mind.

I taught economics at Harvard, but I’m not quite the economist. My current research interests include economic development, financial regulation, technology, and international political economy. While this blog is (mostly) about economics, I will talk about other disciplines through an economic lens. I hope you will find economics is less about free-market doctrines and more about an approach to think about problems.

As a lawyer by training as well, I should end with a disclaimer: None of my views here necessarily reflect that of Harvard (despite of this domain name) and/or any organization I have worked with.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you would enjoy reading this blog.
