Oh, the Weather Outside is Frightful

My Goodness, just 16 hours ago there wasn’t a snow flake to be found in Boston. Now the city is whiter than the crowd at a Celine Dion concert.

snow view from living room.jpg:

My street hasn’t been touched yet by plows (or shovels). In my stupidity this morning, I went out to investigate the storm and had to walk through snow higher than my belt. If you notice in the picture, the snow reaches the top of the parked car. And if you look at the building on the right, you can barely see a door that is almost completely buried in snow.

The city of Boston has already canceled school until Wednesday…FUN!

It was really amazing to watch the snow swirl around thru the night! At times all you could hear was the howl of the wind and what looked like white sand masking a view of anything but white.

And the lightning! You know it’s a bad winter storm when lightning is involved!

I got a snowday for Monday! Woo Hoo – there are a few benefits to being a state worker…

Of course, I’ve got to dig out of like 2 1/2 feet of snow out here!

Jeff must be a non essential state worker.
