GWM, 5’11”, 171 lbs
No, I’m not placing a personals ad. But those are my official height and weight as of my physical exam this morning. I’m 9 pounds lighter than I was a year ago…and about 6 pounds lighter than the year before that (my peak was a few years ago at 196 pounds). WOO HOO! Now if I could just find a way to distribute the weight that I do have a little bit better (meaning away from my belly) without actually having to exercise.
And speaking of food (well, not really…but it’s my attempt at a segue), I had dinner with my friend, Heath, last night. I’m quite jealous of his willingness to take risks and be creative. For example, he offered to cook dinner and asked if I liked chicken piccatta. I love chicken piccatta so we went to the market to buy the ingredients. But then he saw pork on the shelf and decided to be innovative and make pork piccatta instead. And it was delicious! I never would have thought of using pork (even though it is technically the other white meat).
And speaking of white meat (a better segue), news networks (and tabloids) across the country are positively beaming over the fact that Kevin Federline has impregnated Britney Spears. Please tell me: why is this news? There’s just so much more going on in the world right now. I think we should hold off the news footage until their kid is at least 16 years old and in rehab (cuz you just know that dysfunction is inevitable).

While I should be happy for them and clucking in disgust at the media frenzy over (apparently) effortless conception in a mind-numbingly young woman, I’m mostly happy she won’t be able to powder up and slide into latex body suits for a while without looking like Shamu. I find the whole brouhaha around Mr & Mrs Federline kind of ridiculous. Oooh! She fell in love! Oooooh! She got married young! OOOOOH! An annullment! WHOOPS! She did it again and remarried her TRUE love! Whoa! Pregnant! You don’t say? What’s exceptional about this is that a) SHE has the money, b) She’s a pretty girl and c)the nation is apparently rapt. It’s the picture of convention, people!!

I on the other hand went to Weight Watchers last night and am 175!! So I’m back to chronicling my eating…..
Yeah, so Mr. And Mrs. Freeloader are pregnant.
I can’t wait to see what she names it.
Of course at least the child will be able to play with his/her half siblings poppa had with Shar Jackson……
