Easy Blogging

I love these little blog projects that get forwarded from other people since they make my blogging so much easier. But I also feel bad that I’m denying the world my day-to-day observations. What’s a boy to do?

Well, I suppose I can provide a brief filler beforehand. Last night (Wednesday) is my one weeknight without scheduled obligations (classes or therapy). So I had my friend, Fernando, over for dinner. I even cooked! It was horribly lame, but still edible all the same. Neither of us got sick – always a good sign. Afterward, we watched the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas on DVD. Ah – such fun. Is it just me, or were those Aggies the gayest football team ever put on celluloid?

Ok, here’s the blog question-thingie I got from Karyn:

1. What time did you get up this morning? 7:05am. It’s funny, my upstairs neighbor’s alarm clock goes off exactly 10 second after mine.

2. Diamonds or pearls? Is this a naughty reference? I’m envisioning early 1990’s Prince. Anyway, I don’t like jewelry so I’ll just take the cash.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? “Why We Fight”, the war documentary

4. What is your favourite TV show of all time? hmmm – Strangers with Candy, perhaps?

5. What did you have for breakfast? a bowl of Smart Start cereal with 2% milk, a beer mug of orange juice, one multi-vitamin, a banana, and a blueberry yogurt.

6. What is your middle name? Let’s not go there

7. What foods do you dislike? mushrooms and odd texture combinations (like peanuts and chocolate…though I like both separately)

8. What is your favourite crisp flavour? Salt & Vinegar (I’d have to agree wtih Karyn on this one).

9. What kind of car do you drive? I’m car-free…don’t like them…they’re mobile death traps

10. Favourite Sandwich? Back in the 1980’s, Au Bon Pain had this great grilled chicken with bernaisse (spelling?). But they stopped making it. Bastards.

11. Who do you think is a babe? Celebrity? Or people I actually know? HMMM – David Cross, Seth Green and Breckin Meyer for celebrities. Let’s leave it at that.

12. Favourite item of clothing? I’d have to say my Levi 501’s (how gay)

13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? There are so many places I want to say. For the past few years, Switzerland has been calling me, despite its reputation among Europans as being the most boring country. HMMM – I suppose that’s fitting for me, huh?

14. What colour is your bathroom? mostly off-white and various shades of grey (it came that way – it wasn’t my doing)

15. Favourite brand of clothing? I’ve been leaning toward H&M and Zara the past few years

16. Where would you retire to? There are these new gay retirement communities sprouting up in this country so I think that could be a good option so I could be around like-minded people. As for location…I do like everything New England has to offer, but suspect I’ll crave warmth as I age. Maybe New Mexico?

17. Favourite time of the day? mid-morning. I’m a day person.

18. What was your most memorable birthday? Matt’s thrown me a few surprise birthday parties over the years (though, he typically screwed up and let the cat out of the bag). Maybe 30…when the party was at our apatment in Whittier Place and he got people from California and Maine to show up.

19. Where were you born? Cape Cod Hospital

20. Favourite sport to watch? I don’t understand the concept of sports. Does Dancing with the Stars count?

21. Coke or Pepsi? I don’t drink soda

22. Vodka or brandy? I don’t drink alcohol

23. Birthday? May 24

24. What gift would you like for your birthday? world peace and smiles for every child (barf). Um, I refer you to my answer for #2

Matt, I just love you. LOL. You got way bigger stones than me. I was going to but after recent debates with Karly “Barny” Blogger, I decided to play it safe…. *Snert* That’s funny about the Au Bon Pain sandwich reference; the other night I got thwapped with the most savage craving for a turkey sandwich from there! (Matt – there IS an E in Harvey. Sheesh.)
