Checklists, checklists, and more checklists: outlines are really hard to look at during a 3 hour exam, or even during a take-home 8 hour exam, and if you’ve studied enough you know the contents of your notes well enough. But checklists of the main ideas along with the names of the main cases and briefly what they stand for will give you ideas, jog your memory and will be invaluable when you’re looking for elusive issues. A checklist shouldn’t be longer than 3 pages long and should consist mostly of bullet points – just enough to get your brain going into directions you already know the in-depth information about.
