Weekly Comment Box – Updated

NEW to Student Government (new! how exciting!): our weekly comment box. Of course you can always email us with concerns (studentgov@law.harvard.edu) but if there’s little things around campus that need fixing but don’t need a whole email (aka: this bathroom door is busted, this printer isn’t working etc) feel free to quickly post it here, too, if it’s easier for you.

What is the deal with the printer in the basement of Austin? I tried to use it once last year and it did not work. I tried again two weeks ago, and it still did not work. Has anybody ever gotten that thing to work?

What’s the point of the free hot beverage program if it starts after we do? I’m in an 8 am class in Austin Hall, and frequently the beverages aren’t available until after class starts. Is this a cost-reduction measure or something? Can something be done about it?

Every building on campus is frickin’ cold today. Freezing. It’s warmer outside.

MyPlan is an absolute joke. How is it that such a large school has such an antiquated system? It needs to be replaced….

Austin printer complaint – supposedly fixed. Please test it out and let us know.

Free coffee put out after 8 – funds can only support one serving that has a limited time window for health reasons (2-3 hours?). The time slot currently used was picked to try to capture the maximum number of classes that begin between 8 and just after 10:00.

Cold class rooms – You’ve probably seen the Facilities Management emails, but just in case: a reminder that if you think your classroom is higher or lower than 70F, please email facmgmt at law.harvard.edu! The faster they know, the more they can do. It’s helpful to include the classroom number, the time, and if possible, your seat number.

myplan question below – Absolutely! Good news, the administration is aware of the severe limitations of myplan and is currently in the process of implementing a new and very exhaustive student information system. However, it is a very thorough, complex, and expensive system and implementing it properly will take time. Current 1Ls will likely see myplan replaced before they leave.
