AI/Robots and Cross-disciplinary Innovation

Due to lack of current AI empirical research from social and cultural approach, we seem to face moral panic on AI as is common when new technologies emerge in our society. James D. Plummer, who is the longest-serving dean of Stanford University’s School of Engineering, gave his keynote speech about the importance of interdisciplinary approach between the natural and social sciences to understand the social impact of AI at the IEEE challenges summit in San Francisco May, 2017.

So we must answer to Plummer’s call to fill the gap between natural and social sciences in AI research and create AI/robots for social good together.
